What are the advantages of using a metal separator?

A metal separator is an electronic instrument that uses the principle of electromagnetic induction to detect metals. It can be divided into channel type, falling type, and pipeline type.
Principle of metal separator:
The metal separator applies the principle of electromagnetic induction to detect metals. All metals, including iron and non-ferrous metals, have high detection sensitivity. When the metal enters the detection area, it will affect the distribution of magnetic field lines in the detection area, thereby affecting the magnetic flux within a fixed range. Non ferromagnetic metals entering the detection area will generate eddy current effects and also cause changes in the magnetic field distribution in the detection area. Typically, the metal separator consists of two parts, namely the metal separator and the automatic removal device, with the detector as the core part. There are three sets of coils distributed inside the detector, namely the central transmitting coil and two equivalent receiving coils. The high-frequency variable magnetic field is generated by the oscillator connected to the transmitting coil in the middle. In the idle state, the induced voltages of the two receiving coils cancel each other out before the magnetic field is disturbed, reaching a balanced state. Once metal impurities enter the magnetic field area and the magnetic field is disturbed, this balance is broken, and the induced voltage of the two receiving coils cannot be cancelled out. The un cancelled induced voltage is amplified and processed by the control system, and an alarm signal is generated (metal impurities detected). The system can use this alarm signal to drive automatic removal devices, etc., to remove metal impurities from the installation line.
The advantages of using a metal separator:
1. Protect installation equipment
2. Improve installation efficiency
3. Improve the utilization rate of raw materials
4. Improve product quality
5. Reduce equipment maintenance costs and losses caused by downtime maintenance
